Halal Quality Audit is systematic and independent examination with the aim of determining whether the activities and results which refer to halal quality are in accordance with determined regulations of Halal Standard BAS 1049:2007, whether these regulations are appropriate for accomplishment of predicted goals, and are they actually conducted in practice.
The status of halal products is verified through:
- Internal audit
- Agency’s audit
- Laboratory analyzes
Internal audit represents a certain number of persons in certified companies which conduct continuous control of procurement, production, storage and handling products processes. Internal auditors are responsible for continuous control and verification in the company in accordance to the provisions of Halal standard, and to record any change in the process of procurement, production, storage and handling products.
With Agency’s audit, professional colleagues through the Agency’s announced and unannounced audit check whether requirements of Halal standards are fulfilled in the whole system of production.
Laboratory analyzes of products includes the validation of a product or system, in our case Halal standard and halal certified products. Agency in cooperation with authorized laboratory takes samples of raw materials and final products and verifies if used ingredients are not halal.
